Petri Hofsté and Peter Borgdorff nominated as new members of KAS BANK’s Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board of KAS BANK N.V. is pleased to nominate Ms Petri H.M. Hofsté and Mr Peter J.C. Borgdorff as new supervisors at KAS BANK N.V. An Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of KAS BANK will decide on the proposed appointment of Ms Hofsté and Mr Borgdorff later this year. KAS BANK’s Supervisory Board plans to appoint Mr Borgdorff as chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Ms Hofsté has held various positions at KPMG, ABN AMRO, RBS, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and APG over the course of her career. She started her career at KPMG where she was an audit partner in the Financial Services Group. At ABN AMRO Ms Hofsté most recently served as director-general in the position of head of Finance and deputy CFO, at RBS she served as CFO and at APG she served as Chief Financial and Risk Officer (CFRO). At DNB, where she was employed from 2010 to 2013, she was division director for bank supervision. Ms Hofsté holds a number of ancillary positions, including those of supervisory director at BNG Bank and treasurer of the Hendrick de Keyser Association.
The Supervisory Board plans to appoint Ms Hofsté as chairman of the Supervisory Board’s audit committee.

Mr Borgdorff is director of PFZW (Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn), one of Europe’s largest pension funds, with invested assets of over 150 billion euros. Mr Borgdorff was previously director of the Dutch Association of Industry-wide Pension Funds and has served in various positions at lobby organisations in the industry, the administrative sector and the bakery sector. Mr Borgdorff holds a number of ancillary positions, including those of chairman of the board at Eumedion, member of the board of Nibud and executive lecturer at Nijenrode Business University. Mr Borgdorff is a very familiar face in the Dutch pension world and was named ‘pension fund personality of the year’ in 2013.

Ms Hofsté and Mr Borgdorff are both Dutch nationals and hold no shares in KAS BANK. De Nederlandsche Bank has given approval for both appointments. With the appointment of these two candidates the Supervisory Board will comprise six people.
